Yesterday was the first day of CGA! We started class and our teachers gave us a layout of what this semester is going to look like. Since I’ve been here I’ve realized CGA isn’t a program you can explain in easy words, because so much of it is how much you put into it. Do you want a deeper community? Then you need to invest your time into spending it with your house mentors, disciplers, and classmates. Want to go deeper with the Lord than you’ve ever gone? Then you have to dig deep into the teachings, spend quality time with the Lord and be in tune with His spirit. Want to change our ideals of failure and turn them into a motivator to step out into the uncomfortable? Them we need to be taking risks. We need to step outside of ourselves and believe in who th Lord Says we are. We are people of influence and of impact.
One of my teachers yesterday asked this question that hit me deep: “ Do you all truly believe you have the influence to change cultures around you?” This stopped me in my tracks. Because yes I believe I have influence and that my words have weight, but to walk into a community of people and be able to change the culture? That’s is a lot of responsibility. But we all have that ability.
We can all be world shakers, if only we choose into it.
Cga has already been such an incredible space and experience. We go to class every day and are invited into a space where failure is welcome and the biggest requirement is to bring all of ourselves. To be authentic, raw and real with our classmates.
You get out of it what you put into it.
Fundraising update: I’ve reached the $3,000 goal by the grace of God and am officially halfway! But I still need about $3,000 left to continue this CGA program. I am learning so much already in these first couple days and I want to stay here. I know the Lord has BIG things in store for myself and this class and I want to see them firsthand.
