FUNDRAISING UPDATE!
Hello everyone- I hope this post finds you all in good health and that you are enjoying the fall season! It’s finally starting to cool off here in Gainesville and I have absolutely loved breaking out my cozy sweaters and boots. I just wanted to update you all on how I am doing fundraising wise and thank you all again for your support. Over all of the missions trips I have participated in I have raised over $33,000. WHAT IN THE WORLD. That is beyond comprehendible to me, and honestly fills me with so much gratitude for you, my partners and also for the Lord and HIs provision.
I will never forget my first mission trip to Panama when I was fourteen years old.
I had no clue what I was getting into, but I felt the call. It was a week of my heart breaking for the world… a week of feeling Joy like I had never felt before. A purpose I had never felt before… it was a beautiful experience filled with memories I will never, ever forget. On the way home I wrote this in my journal, “ I don’t want to live a mundane life. I don’t want to have a house with a picket white fence and a ‘perfect’ job or career. I don’t want to be ordinary- I want to be extraordinary. I want to get to the end of my life and look back on all of the beautiful memories I created and be filled with Joy. Our lives are short, and I want to live mine to the fullest each and everyday.”
Shoot- I had no idea where that hope and dream for my life would take me just a few years later. Traveling over many countries and continents, making homes and new friends and family along the way, and learning more and more about myself and the father each and every day. Now I am here in Gainesville, Georgia. For how long? I have no clue. But all I can say today is that I am so thankful. Thankful for the people back home praying for me and giving me the tools to fullfil my dream. I am thankful for my beautiful L Squad, who gave me an incredible example of the body of Christ and true fellowship. I am thankful for my CGA class, teachers and adventures community that have shown me how to fight for connection, how to take risks, manage my time well, and love from a place of overflow. They have taught me how to engage with the Lord and allow Him to fight my battles and carry my burdens. They have shown what it looks like to live from a heart posture of surrender and sonship. The amount of tools, information and resources I have received during my time so far at CGA is incredible, and I am so glad I still have half a semester to wrestle, fight and learn alongside this community.
But in order to do so, I need to raise $1,250 to meet my goal and the deadline is NOVEMBER 5TH. Would you be willing to join my team to help mobilize more missionaries?? It’s crunch time and I have less than a month to reach this goal above.
For those already on my team fighting for me- thank you. Your prayers and donations fill my heart with unending gratitude.
